Care until there’s a cure

Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death. 1 in 6 American workers are caregivers. According to the Family Caregiver Alliance, trying to create the best possible quality of life for an aging relative is “the new normal” for 43.5 million Americans, 14.9 million of whom care for people living with Alzheimer’s disease. With about 10,000 baby boomers hitting age 65 each day, more and more are becoming caregivers for older relatives and many need care themselves.

When you support the Great Minds Gala, you are helping families and other care partners access innovative programs designed to improve and enhance the experience of providing care and support to someone with Alzheimer’s or other dementias.

Funds from the event will be equally distributed between the LeadingAge Innovations Fund and the Integrace Institute at Copper Ridge for the creation and advancement of dementia programs.
